Mission of Greater Paugus Bay Watershed Association
The Greater Paugus Bay Watershed Association LTD was established in 2018 with the support of the City of Laconia and the Department of Environmental Services (DES) of New Hampshire.

The GPBWA is 100% volunteer based. Our costs are kept low to maintain a high level of financial support to the City of Laconia and it's watershed.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Greater Paugus Bay Watersheed Association is to preserve, protect, and in some cases restore the parts of Lake Winnipesaukee that reside in Laconia, New Hampshire.
Included, but not limited to, are water quality and overall lake quality, with aquatic plant management, specifically non- native invasive being the catalyst.

CURRENT INITIATIVE: Manage invasive/nuisance aquatic plants

FUTURE: Help monitor water quality, inventory aquatic plants throughout the watershed, help local homeowners develop erosion control programs, and develop long term plans with the City of Laconia and NH DES.
