The map on the left shows milfoil identification over the past 6 years. Once the areas are identified, a treatment plan is developed and scheduled. Both Herbicide and DASH have been utilized to kill and manage the invasive plant growth.
Cost of treatment- Average cost is approximately $1,700 per acre with Herbicide and $1,000 per day with DASH (diver assisted suction harvesting).
The Greater Paugus Bay Watershed Association was established in 2018 to support the efforts from the City of Laconia and State of NH DES.
